Your card remembers your shelf. Every book you open, every chapter you finish, how far you’ve read — the library keeps your place the way a good librarian slides a bookmark in before closing time. Plain honesty: your shelf is stored under your card number and nothing else. We never know your name, your email, or who you are. That also means a lost number is a lost shelf — so tuck it somewhere safe. A photo of this box works fine.
